5 Stars to Captain Kirk and Claudia in the office. They are phenomenal to deal with. Since living here for 4 years plus... these two are so far the best to get things done smoothly and they truly care about their tenants & well being!

Pala Mesa is honestly a pretty good lower-end apartment complex. Maintenance is the only drawback to the complex due to staffing... issues occasionally leading to the apartments being shorthanded but when there is an issue they fight tooth and nail to make it right for you. Living here has been an excellent experience so far with Pala Mesa and its wonderfully caring staff. If you want to hear banging and stomping from your upstairs neighbors day and night, this place is perfect for you. Walls... are incredibly thin. Also, if you live close to the back gate you can hear the screeching from it opening and closing all day, at all hours of the night. I have lived here for almost 2 years. I am happy with just about everything. I have to complain about the gate. It has been... a persistent and pervasive cause of sleepless nights and interrupted days. That shit is ridiculous, can you not keep a gate from squeezing??! It’s not a minor squeak but sounds like someone is torturing an animal or something. Please direct me to corporate I can’t live with that sound anymore. Y’all are really slacking here. It makes the place appear trashy to everyone who visits me. I pay you money to have a decent place to live. Im not asking a favor by requesting you every week to grease the gate.Read More about Gate

We've been year for close to 2 years and every time we have an occurrence, pala mesa is willing to help quickly and efficiently... especially with their maintenance staff. One of the property managers, Raphael helped me with my A/C unit and was willing to accommodate me and work around my busy schedule and even provide a portable unit while waiting for parts. Nothing fancy, but well maintained. Cheaply built but can say that the effects weren’t felt. Anything that broke was fixed... within 24hrs and minor previous damage was repaired before move in. It’s apparent that they care for their tenets. The staff and maintenance make ALL the difference. I could put my trust in them for sure. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with these guys. If you have a maintenance emergency it’s handled, if you need something... it’s handled fairly quickly. Front desk are great people, always helpful. Community is always clean and they are always working on something. They have a dog park and there’s lots of trees. As an ASU student, I looked for apartments located along the light rail. Out of everything from Mill to Mesa, Pala Mesa was... a solid deal — very good monthly rates with no hidden fees, good sq footage, patios, decent gym and pool, etc. The units are older fashioned and reliable - think stereotypical grandparent’s kitchen but without all the floral patterns - but work great with some interior decorating. I’d say the overall community is more small/starting family, and not so much student. So if you want quiet, clean, well-priced, with the occasional Taco Tuesday, it’ll be for you.
In regard to some other reviews: After 2 months we’ve seen ~4 scorpions, but it’s a first story unit and it’s Arizona. After signing up for the included/optional weekly pest control, no problems with scorpions. We’ve sent in some maintenance requests before, and they get handled reasonably quickly.Read More about Solid Deal
